Things we liked about February:
Our friend Cheryl works for an advertising agency and asked Matt to star {ahem, I mean…appear} in a commercial. Can you believe they provided this table for the “talent”? I was drooling when Matt sent me this photo.
We took a quick weekend trip to Vegas where we ate, shopped, relaxed, ate, shopped, slept, ate and ate again. Oh yeah, “we” also went golfing.
We celebrated our 4th Valentines together at one of our favorite restaurants The Pie and then came home and watched some movies.
Me and Susan sparked up a new love for running together and Matt played lots of basketball and soccer. I even attended one of his games.
We discovered a new recipe for lasagna soup, we’ve seen just about every movie at the theaters that looks even halfway decent, we’ve watched ALL 10 seasons of Friends, and we’ve eaten more desserts&treats than we’d care to admit.
We went to my cousin’s mission farewell who’s going to Bangkok, Thailand. Was I disappointed that I wasn’t asked to speak in church regarding my experiences during my vacation there last spring? Yes, a little. But I’m so excited for him to go and experience such a unique culture.
I attended Kate’s annual Tucano’s Birthday Luncheon. It’s honestly probably one of my favorite events of the year. A group of 20 or more girls eating meat off a stick? Sign me up. I always leave with a stomach ache, half way from laughing and half way from stuffing myself silly. Matt is always trying to finagle a way to get invited, and this year was no different.
Things we didn’t like about February:
In preparation for our trip to Vegas I took my car to Honda for a routine oil change and came out with $352 of services.
I finally went to the doctor for my knee pain and got a cortisone shot and a 2 week ban from cardio.
I’ve lost my magic touch at Mario Kart and Matt keeps on beating me. Luckily I’m ahead of him 1-9 in our rummikub ongoing tournament.
We bought Suz a toy set from Costco that was marketed and advertised for the “destructible dog” and claimed it would last longer. Umm, they barely lasted 24 hours in our house.
