Holiday Break

This is the first year I’ve had enough PTO accrued to take time off around the Holidays.  Or really it’s the first year I haven’t had a big vacation looming in the spring.  {yet}  We both ended up taking off a few days to hang out and do basically nothing.  We took lots of naps, slept in, worked out, cooked/baked, went to movies, went out to eat (a lot), shopped, and most importantly {for the health of our relationship} I watched Lord of the Rings with Matt.  Wild, I know.

All of that was of course, undocumented.  But I managed to pull out my camera for ice skating, lunch with Trevor, New Years game night and another Jazz game.  What is it about using a camera that makes me feel like a 15 year old?

It's really hard to say what's going on with my bangs and Matt's tilted up head.  And I'm just now noticing we were twins that night.  Denim and black Nike tops.

Again with the tilted head....he must have been trying to catch a grape in his mouth.

This should come as no surprise, but I am not good at ice skating, and once again, no surprise, Matt is REALLY good.

We went to the Jazz game with Kate + Cody.  Seriously, who knew we were such sports fans?  (I didn't.)  I'm just sad we didn't all have Jazz shirts like Cody.

Trevor is one of my dearest friends who was in town from NYC for the holiday.  I wish more people were like him, he is so kind.  And Kate?  How would I live without her.

Not that my family cares about winning or anything, but if you win you get to write your name in the box.  Matt and I were the first winners to my dad's new Christmas game 7 Wonders - what a way to ring in the new year!
