Is it really fall?

Matt claims that fall is his favorite time of year, and although I'm certain it's because he's excited about his sweater and blazer wardrobe, I will give him credit that he takes the foliage seriously each year.  A few years ago he read an article that claimed Utah had two of the top ten spots to view foliage, which as you can imagine, only increased his enthusiasm.  Each year we trek up to Soldier Hollow for a picnic and walk, although last year he used this as a convenient opportunity to get engaged.  Last night as I was trying to jog his memory that it's been almost a year since we got engaged, the only "anniversary" he could think that was approaching was either Halloween or 3 years since I transfered to the Sugarhouse Olive Garden.  Isn't he sweet?

Coincidentally the camera that I hate apparently broke in the last 2 days, so all I have is an iPhone pic.

And for a flash back!

Reasons why I think he only likes fall for his clothes...

I think last year I was too busy taking photos of my ring to realize the leaves had changed colors....

  1. The colors are beautiful! Great pictures, too. I agree with you Lisa, Fall is Matt's preening time. He gets to stretch his fashion wings. Hard to believe an entire year has elapsed since you two became engaged!!! Lots has happened in the past year. A wedding, a new house, a new puppy...... This is Mom by the way. I don't know how to identify myself in the profile, so I only end up as an "unknown".
