I'll admit, even as a non-wine drinker, Napa Valley is beautiful, and I still managed to enjoy myself with my giant Diet Coke in the back seat.
We also ventured into San Fransisco on bikes again. And obviously we couldn't resist a picture with the bay bridge.
While we were hanging out on this pier we saw a tour group of Segweys. I did a segwey tour with my family in Paris one summer and I was unaware of how nerdy we looked. Matt and I laughed for hours when a guy hit a curb too hard with his wheel and completely fell off, his friends quickly came to the rescue on their segweys. Although none of them actually got off of the machine to see if he was okay, they just stood over him and waited for him to pick himself up.
Matt's family LOVES apple hill and makes a tradition of going every year. It's about a 3 hour drive each way, and we actually only spend about 2-3 hours there. Matt finally realized how funny it is that we drive about 6 hours for doghnuts and pie. But I'll admit, the fritters and cider are incredible.
We met up with Matt's grandparents Roger and Betty (whom I adore) for dinner in Davis. Ryan and Marissa were also in town from San Diego for the weekend.
On our last day there we drove to Half Moon Bay and ate lunch at the beach. Matt scoped out some more golfing he wants to do, so once again, I'm sure we'll be back!
We always have such a fun time when we go visit Matt's family in Palo Alto. It's a jam packed 5 days and we leave tired and full.
Looks like it was a very fun trip!!! ssw
